Last Thursday the 38th Annual Golf Classic was held at Highland Golf and Country Club. Weather kept us on our toes and early Rain and Thunderstorms resulted in a three-hour delay. After some creative juggling of the tee off times and approval from the course decision makers, the day began. A total of 150 golfers participated in this safe, socially distanced outdoor event. No one went away hungry with lots of food stations across the course serving roast beef slider, pork taco’s, chicken wings, fruit smoothies, veggie trays, fruit kabobs and hand scooped ice cream.
The online silent auction had 80 items, the raffle tickets for West Jet Tickets almost sold out, and the adopt a family featuring Katie Mills and her mom at the putting contest helped connect people to our mission. In 2020 amidst the first wave of the covid-19 pandemic we were able to host London’s first charity golf tournament. A new format to keep our participants safe, but the same passion and support to help keep families close.
This year we’re excited to again bring to you a day under the sun on the course, numerous food stations as you play 18-holes, online silent auction, exclusive golfer gift, and so much more all while supporting RMH families.
We’ve pivoted online to track all sponsorships, registrations, and donations. We look forward to your support and once again enjoying our 38th Annual RMH Golf Classic.
